The last Dance/USA conference I attended in person was in San Francisco/Bay Area in 2012, the region where Ground Series was formally launched by way of Temescal Arts Center in Oakland. Eager to reunite with presenters, producers and performers in the field, I was excited and grateful to attend the conference in Chicago this year. I enjoyed networking, learning at sessions, experiencing live performances and discovering venues and talented artists across the beautiful city. What a fun surprise to be caught in a candid moment at the opening soiree in their newsletter.

Another beautiful highlight of my visit was exploring iconic public art ‘Cloud Gate’ by Anish Kapoor and the Art Institute of Chicago to see one of my favorite paintings by Georgia O’Keefe, Sky Above Clouds IV, 1965. Special thanks to Center for Cultural Innovation Quick Grant program which helped support my participation in the Dance/USA Conference. Learn more about Dance/USA: https://www.danceusa.org Learn more about Center for Cultural Innovation Quick Grant program :: CCI :: Quick Grant ::
